Rifle Configurator Reviews Our P226X Comp Magwell & Basepad
Rifle Configurator just published a detailed breakdown of our P226X Comp Magwell and Comp Basepad — and they got into the details that matter to competitors.
The big story is capacity and fitment. A Mec-Gar 18-round P226 magazine tube with our Comp Basepad becomes a reloadable 22 or 23 rounds, depending on your spring and follower setup — 23 rounds with a Grams no-lock-back kit, or 22 rounds with an 11-coil spring if you want to keep slide lock-back on empty. On the magwell side, they highlighted that it's built specifically for the US-made P226X and X-Five family — frames that other reproduction magwells on the market simply don't fit.
They also broke down where these parts are legal to run: good for USPSA Limited Optics, Limited, and Open, plus IDPA Carry Optics and PCSL Defensive Practical and Competition — but not legal for USPSA Production or Carry Optics, so know your division before you buy.
The review also covers our flush-fit nylon Carry Magwell for anyone who wants a cleaner concealed-carry profile without giving up factory magazine compatibility, and the brass LOK GridLOK grip panels we carry for shooters chasing extra weight low in the frame.

Thanks to the Rifle Configurator team for the thorough look at the parts — and thanks to everyone running our gear in competition.
